| Came across your site courtesy of Sean & the LA bloggers. This post is the funniest stuff I've read all week. You are one uber-cool chick. Looking forward to updates. |

| Jess, this is possibly the funniest thing I've ever read on your site, and there's been a lot of funny stuff. I totally wish I could be as awesome as you! |

| I agree with Stef, this is your funniest post EVER. I may have to fly out there and witness this frickin' hysterical madness with my own two eyes. I don't think I've ever been so proud to say that Jessica Stover is my friend (as I wipe a tear from my eye)! |

| Hi Jessica, I'm one of the line members (though I wasn't there when you visited). Just wanted to say thanks for a very accurate depiction of the line during the day. Now pack some warm clothes, some No-Doze, and come back for a nightlife report! |

Jessica,
Wow...I haven't had that good a time reasing pseudo-self depreciating humor in a looooooong time. Like Greg, I too am part of the line, but wasn't there when you stopped by.
Anyhow, you captured "A Day In The Life Of..." pretty well.
Kudos to ya! |

Greetings, Nerds.
So are you guys projecting Star Wars onto the side of a building yet or what?
You better not let any other non-liner-uppers answer your phone. Or else I won’t feel special anymore. And I won’t write my Episode II/Skywalker Ranch/George Lucas story this weekend as promised. (Everyone totally cares about reading that.)
I will try to visit again soon (sequel!). …Er, prequel? YouknowwhatImean. |

Hey Jessica,
Another line member here. (one of the people who went to work.)
You should totally come back. Rumor has it that we're projecting a movie on the wall of Grauman's tonight. |

| I think you should do this segment on the Tonight Show! I hope you don't mind Jess, but I emailed your site to both the Tonight Show and Late Night with Conan and told them a little about how funny your site is and such. I know they get lots of emails about segment ideas and it's a long shot, but you're way funnier than anyone Leno has on his show and Conan's little segments haven't been as great as they used to be lately. Maybe if your site readers and the nerds (who rock by the way) all get together and write, enough buzz will be created to get you your own late night segment! I can post the email addresses to make it easier if it's alright with you! |

| Wow! That was some funny shit. I may just have to make a stop by the line tonight before hitting my friend's birthday party to observe and bring "our" nerds something. What do you guys need? Can you drink beer? (probably not since it's on a public street, but hey, it was worth asking) - kegger at the Star Wars Nerds Line!!! Will you nerds get mad if we crash your party?? |

Hi! I found you via Wil Wheaton's blog. Do you have an RSS on Livejournal like he does? I'd love to add it if you do. Your humor is right down my alley-- irreverent, incisive, and totally on target.
Thanks for leading the nerds on (they need some kind of reward since they're not gonna see the movie, after all), and I loved how you skewered Sin City and The Da Vinci Code. <3 |

Ms. Stover,
Your perseverence is noteworthy. Shame the folks in line lack the perspective that Mr. Wheaton has on the situation. Gotta say I agree with him. Life as a geek has it's rough spots, but you've gotta pick your battles.
And watch what you say about Canada. Mr. Smart Alec in the igloo isn't a reasonable sample space from which to draw conclusions.
I'm happy for you that you have a local cinema of which you can speak so highly. There's so many multiplex-cattle- houses out for a popcorn buck around here, the "great place to see a film" is hard to find.
And with all of TWO digital projection cinemas in this whole country (Toronto and Vancouver), It'll take a bunch of air miles to see this film projected the way it was intended.
Great reading.

That was hysterical! And this comes from someone who saw the original movie in the theaters nearly 400 times!
I posted the following at blogging.la, but I thought I would say this here as well (pathetic grab for attention notwithstanding):
I was third in line for the premiere of Empire Strikes Back. Well, technically my mom was, but I was with her. It wasn't at the Chinese, but at the Egyptian. It was the best of the movies; take the omen, dudes.
Incidentally, the movies have all (until now) had their world premiers at the Coronet Theater in San Francisco - the largest theater up where Lucas (and I) live. It closed three weeks ago. Move along, people.

Weird. I was listening to the radio program that called you today when they played back your segment (it's not archived online yet, but look for it here in a week or so, I guess). Then I came home, saw the link on WWDN, and wondered if it was the same Jessica as the radio.
You crossed the streams, Egon. |

Fahrv –I took more calls than I transcribed in this entry. Was it the same call or a different one? I don’t remember that guy’s radio station, so he was probably even more boring than the other boring radio guy. (That’s pretty boring.)
Everyone – I am hella stoked to read your e-mails and comments. Please give me some time to get through all of the mail. I swear I don’t hate you, it’s just that I have to get my teeth cleaned, go to Ninjitsu, balance my checkbook, get RSS going, update JSDC, finish a screenplay revision and sit for a moment to enjoy this whole mess.
I’m on it. |

Sean - Jessica is working on the content. Her wireless is down, she went on the roof to try to fix it but it didn't work. It will be up soon...
In related news, I just wanted to let everyone know that anyone who becomes friends with Jessica is required to become friends with me, too. (This means you Wheaton).

Some of the funniest stuff on the net JS! Bravo!!!
Also, good call on the RSS. I added your RSS as a syndication over on LiveJournal. Now millions of 13-year old EMO girls can add you to their friends page.

I brought a round of mochas to a line for Episode I in Portland, but what you have done is far cooler and tons more entertaining to read about! You should totally go back and do a follow up when it's closer to Opening Night.
BTW, I've come here via WWDN and I must say your site is hilarious! ("short lists"... LOL!) I've added it to my daily reading and "must pimp to all" lists. |

| I, like a lot of individuals, found my way here via WWDN. I just wanted to say your brand of humor is most awesome. I have not stopped laughing since I first clicked on the link. Unfortunately, that was more than 36 hours ago. I am afraid this continuous laughter will have a negative influence on both my work and personal relationships. I hate you. |

Whoa, someone’s on the path to the dark side…
Am I the only one disturbed by Alpha Nerd's intense and inappropriate hatred of Wil Wheaton (her blog is the link of the week above)? I know it must be a lot of responsibility to be leader of the star wars nerds, but seriously, shouldn't Wil be your hero or something? I mean, he is king of the star trek nerds. As someone who qualifies for both sets of nerds I would really appreciate it if we could all just get along (so just make up with Wil, Alpha Nerd).
Anyway, I think Wil is the man. Especially now that he is friends with Jessica. |
