Sounds almost as fun as the weekend I had a while back. Got up at 7 to move house on the Thursday. Had to go to the dress rehersal of a play I was helping with. Then I drove up to Birmingham arriving at about 1am. Got up at 8 to go to Stag do in Newcastle and then 2 days of hard partying and then a bit more on the Sunday. Got home on Sunday night to find that i had to move about 5 boxes just to get into bed. It was worth it though.
Orange Juice is evil

Tropicana Pure Premium is one of the best products, ever. Don't hate on the orange juice.

I'm with the OJ people - it was the pudding pops. They taste so good - I mean could Bill Cosby ever front a bad product!? (Oh dammit! Nevermind. Like anyone even remembers New Coke!) Yet anything that creamy and barely dairy is bound to hurt you... It is mostly gelatin and gum additives. It is this that is most likely dragging you down like a bunch of concrete bricks!
Damn you Bill Cosby!

OJ blows. I get my fruit juice from Mt. Dew. (Read the ingredients, trust me.) Meanwhile this line made me fall out of my chair - "So the lady was cool and helped me out by simply doing her job. More workers should try that." Dead. Friggin. ON.

For your information, high-pulp orange juice will keep you up but the medium to low pulp orange juice has NO keeping-you-up factors.
FYI. (This is scientific, btw.)

Goddam - 7AM two days in a row?? I do not envy you. Good luck. If only parental notes still worked...
From z-man
Wow, is this what the current generation has come too? Are you all that spoiled. Hell, I've been getting up like clockwork since HS @ 7:00 without an alarm clock. That has been 16 years now. I generally cannot sleep much later. Now before you argue I usually crash between 11 - 12.
Is this what I have to look forward to when the current generation starts running the country? Weak minded, spoiled, and soft people who complain about getting out of bed @ 7am two days in a row?
Sheesh, sign me up to have my head slammed in a door right now.
*note the above is laced with heavy sarcasm. Considering that, I am still irritated that some people have and issue with 7am wake up calls.

Yup. We have 'and' issue.

That is just the kind of judgmental and totally Unawesome comment that prevented Jess from getting her nap.

I have to get up at 0515 everyday, sometimes earlier. This really sucks but I do not complain because I knew what I was getting myself into when I signed on the dotted line. I sure do miss getting up at the crack of noon like in college though.
From Dusty
Sorry, dude, I was just sympathizing... didn't mean to add to the monkey on your back about "the youth of today". I actually wake up at 7:30 every morning without an alarm, now that corporate life has made me its bitch... but I totally wish I didn't. I would sleep until 11/12 if I could. I think maybe the world would be a better place if we were all allowed to set our own schedules. Me, I'd stay up until 4 AM and rise at noon if I had a choice. I thrive at night. Kind of like a cockroach...

Hope you're recovering ok after all that. I hear the withdawal shakes after a frap-out bender like that can be vicious.

Two words, ma'am. Red Bull.
It is the greatest sleep-defying aid ever created.
Just be sure to a) not drink it on an empty stomach (ever see the movie
"Alien"? and b) either have more to drink when it wears off or have a safe place to crash. It doesn't play around.
Or you could always try Vivarin. That works for me. Good old college and slacking and last-minute assignment completing...

I have to be up at 5am monday through friday and I have been on this schedule for so long that even on weekends i am up at the ass crack of dawn, no matter what time i go to sleep... sleeping in for me is 8am on weekends...

So if someone works their ass off at their job until 2AM everyday and therefore doesn’t rise until 10AM, then they are spoiled?
There are no rules as to what work hours make you lazy and not lazy, et cetera. When the light bulb was invented, we made it possible for people to work 24/7 whenever they like or are so required. To penalize someone, or a generation, for not wanting or having a job that requires them to rise at 7 makes no sense. It is a lifestyle choice. I also do not represent the sleep habits of my entire generation and I never said that I have a problem with 7AM. I said that I have a problem with waking up after not getting a full eight hours. Furthermore, I often find that people who repeatedly mention what time they get up for work and get to work are the most skilled at doing nothing. And, hey, it's fine to complain a little about having to get up super early. Every job has it downs even if you know what you are getting into in the first place.
And WTF has to get up at 7 for HS? Dude, I didn’t have to be there until 8:30. That meant that I got up at 7:30 and that was only so that I could be there early to do the homework I should have done when I was instead experimenting with my friends at their house after discovering that their parents had peppermint schnapps that probably wouldn’t be missed from the liquor cabinet. We needed to find out if it was only for baking or, in fact, drinkable. I suppose that could stand for science work.

Now, if they could I.D. the gene that makes me keep uber vampire hours...
"Early to Bed, Early to Rise - It's All in the Genes"
"LONDON (Reuters) - A mutant gene rather than anti social tendencies may be the cause of people going to sleep and waking up unsociably early, scientists said on Wednesday.
They made their discovery after studying three generations of a family in which five members suffered from the so-called earlybird ailment officially known as Familial Advanced Sleep Phase Syndrome."

Just an FYI, the bus leaves my neighborhood at 615/630am for the highschoolers, and the kids who drive leave at 645am.. The highschoolers go first, then middle, the elementary, those kids dont go till like 9, but they dont get home until like 4 or 430 and if they ride the bus which most elem. kids do they dont get home till like 5 since there are so many neighborhoods and not enough schools.

And Im def not complaing about my hours or the time I get up just simply making a comment, so I am def not in the good at doing nothing category..

I had to smile reading this post. I'm a mostly self-employed artist/potter who often works in her studio til 4am...5am...6am. A few weeks ago, I had a two week Summer Camp gig, and had to have my mother call me at 7:30 every morning to make SURE I was up. Glad to know I'm not the only intelligent, productive adult who gets parental wake-up calls Without at least 8 hours' sleep, I could sleep through a hurricane ripping my house apart.
