Ahaha, awesome comic. Very J. Sto ending.
I bought a Casio Exilim digicam last year. Use it fairly often, though admittedly not nearly as much as I'd intended. Trouble with that thing is that low-light zero-flash shots turn out grainy and often blurred. Sometimes that makes for neat shots, but those instances are few and far between. |

that comic marvelously depicts the essence of Jess. (i almost used the word "captures" instead of "depicts", then thought better of it)
it's a shame-- a tragedy, really--that so much art and artistic expression is denied because a lack of material and financial resources. imagine a society where art is given preference and reverence. i suppose the same could be said of adventure.
i know that inconvenience-- nay, misfortune-- all too well.
is that a suffering for our art? along with which comes a suffering for lack of art.
and yet, still, wide grins.
ps- the Emily Haines quote reminds me of The Matrix. If the Blue pill ain't workin' for ye, might as well take the Red one. |

Hey JSto it was really nice seeing you over break.
When are you coming home for Xmas (I am not referring to Christmas, I referring to the Xmas celebration of Xenu, our alien ruler and leader of the Galactic Confederacy)?
See you then. One more thing: for once can I go adventuring? |

Looks like she's full of piss n' vinegar. Let's hope she keeps her eye on the ball.
What kind of camera did you have before? I find mine takes great outdoor pictures, but is a bit shoddy in low light conditions. |

ps- the Emily Haines quote reminds me of The Matrix. If the Blue pill ain't workin' for ye, might as well take the Red one.
The quote, for reference, was:
“The lonesome lows, don't quite go away overnight / Doctor Blind, just prescribe the blue ones / If the dizzying highs don't subside overnight / Doctor Blind, just prescribe the red one” —Emily Haines
Dude, download the song Doctor Blind and watch the video. Emily Haines is on tour in the US and Canada right now. Robert was kind enough to take me along to her show a few months ago at the Viper Room (small venue) and it was fantastic. I recommend that you go. The smaller the venue, the better.

‘Twas a Cannon Powershot that was actually very quick and good across the board. Was planning to upgrade pro-sumer eventually. Now “eventually” has been upgraded to “ASAP.” (Damnit.)
Anyway, I love low-light settings/shooting at night. |

| Emily Haines is awesome. I have two Metric CD's and saw them play live. Haven't heard any of her solo work yet, though. I'll have to check out the link. |

| so far, Doctor Blind is the only song of hers i've heard that i like. i prefer the song to the vid. sometimes live experience can make the difference in determining an appreciation. i was first exposed to Ceili's Muse on CD and didn't care for them. then i saw them live, at my brother's insistence-- they rawked and i've been a fan since, going to every houston show. |

| As far as her work with Metric, I find Haines' is exponentially better live as opposed to recorded. I'd assume it would be the same with her solo performances. |
