"let the bow do the work."
apt analogy. very Nietzschean. that's how I live my life. reminds me of the parable of a farmer who lost a horse, which led to him gaining five horses. it seems counter intuitive to not be upset about the setback... but actually it is precisely intuitive. I agree, it was the right decision to wait. it would be much more disapointing to force things and get mediocrity instead of going with the flow and create Awesome.
this delay really does seem for the best. more time to prep (the shoot and yourself), fine tune, and raise money. sometimes the only thing to do is shut up and drive. the traffic won't go any faster and you won't get any less lost by getting angry or whining. enjoy the ride. because, as we all know, the journey is more important than the destination. the universe has a way of working itself out, if you let it.

in a way, Jess... you DID troubleshoot this one.

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Hang in there. We'll wait.

A difficult decision, but definitely the right one. Take your time, and turn your story into a quality film.

Patience is a virtue, and choosing quality over immediacy is something you should be proud of. We'll all still be here in a year's time; just as pumped as we are now.

Can't wait. smile

I know the feeling, even more so, as usual. I only got a chance to conquer at the highest level every FOUR years.

I accepted it, fed off the anticipation, and well, you know the rest.

We are so awesome. smile

I know it's no help but this entry was very real and moving - some of your best writing. Nevertheless, keep the spirits up. We'll be waiting. We believe. wink

It was the right decision.
It's good to know the whole thing is in such capable hands, both you and your crew. We will wait.

Make it the best you can, and we will wait for it. You're beholden to no one but yourself on this one, honey, and so you have the gift to share with us all that it is in your head.

I have a feeling something brilliant is in there.

The writing of this sad lament,if nothing else you've posted in the past, seals that for me.
