| That second clip in your stack there, it scared the hell out of me. I've never seen that before. |

I know, right? That's a montage that someone created and set to ominous music. Those scenes do not appear that way in the film. The re-mixer basically ran all the dark and psychological moments together.
Someone please applaud my usage of “wiseacre”: It was recently the word of the day and I am doing my best to be a diligent little philologist. (I just learned the word “philologist” from Wikipedia, and the dictionary says it is for reals legit. Although I think I what I really mean is linguist; in terms of semantics.) I do my homework. Gold star check plus.
Anyone happen to note what all of those YouTube clips have in common? |

"Hah-lo", as Winnie the Pooh says.
didn't realize “wiseacre” was still in the lexicon. good job!

"going back to who I was before societal things got in the way". exactly. this is part of my own (re)education, trying to recapture the open-ness of spirit I had as a child. I love Tom Cruise because he is not just a great actor, but a magnificent person who exhibits this quality with a passion for life... in pursuit of experience and excellence.
things vids have in common: besides anthropomorphy... childhood. more precisely, uncorrupted innocence... the simplicity, clarity and boldness of youth. manifesting it? also, fantasia (yeah, that's actually a legit word). they feature a rare and dying form of story telling?
I saw NIMH again a few weeks ago, for the first time since it originally appeared, and still like it.
I think it is a question of what Ghandi said: being the change we wish to see in the world. Approaching the world as if it were ideal. For average folk, it is easier to accept than excede. I'd rather be not ordinary.
ps- nifty concept photo. |

Speaking of Pooh bear, check out this awesome fake trailer for a live action re-imagining of the story:

Not the Lux Aternae track AGAIN.
1. That was terrible.
2. It had stolen music.
3. One thing that all of the YouTube clips I listed have in common is that they are all being used illegally. |

true, the execution was terrible. but the concept... and the idea of reconfiguring the reality of it is unterrible. like SciFi Channel's Tin Man premise. I applaud creative attempts at re-interpretation. also, such as BSG.
and that music IS over used, but it is so awesome it never gets old and is good for many applications. plus, it works here.
and now, in the spirit of the J.Sto vids...Rikki Tikki Tavi:
