The NY Times had a good article (I read the print version and am too busy to look up the link for the on-line version) about all the 20-something idiots who dropped everything to rush over to his apartment with flowers and stuff. One person actually said something like, "I'm here because our generation feels like we're a personal part of people's lives like this."
Thank you, reality TV.
And these people will be voting in November. I hope they know they are voting FOR someone and not to have someone thrown off the island. |

what a depressing-- but marevelously constructed-- scene you've set. We've lost the plot? We need a re-write.
I was stunned (like a slap in the face) to learn that Heath was dead-- and of an accidental overdose! I couldn't quite comprehend at first. A strange surrealism with a disconnect between what you see and what you expect to see. "Wait. What did that say? Did I read it right?"
I hate to see awesomeness lost.
I hope the suits have the decency not to spin this into money.
I suspect someone would be selling t-shirts as the world ends. |

That weren't half-bad.

| Hauntingly beautiful entry, Jess. Like morose and strangely sparse music; the kind that stays in the back of your head, but you can't really catch hold of the melody long enough to hum it. It just leaves you with a lingering emotion which you can't really identify. |
